A car show in Chillicothe, Ohio I unexpectedly stumbled upon when I went to a family reunion last weekend. It had a few cool and pleasant surprises. It also allowed me to slip away from the family reunion I originally went to the area for.
Highlights were the Yenko Chevelle(didn’t know it existed), big Dodge Brothers flatbed, Volvo P1800s, Pontiac Catalina wagon, absolutely gorgeous C1, and the International pickup. Pretty much a dream garage if I could have them. I tinkered with the exposure a little on these to make them a bit easier to see the details, that and messed with a few settings on the camera. Still getting back into things.
Plus, a week into the new job and I dig the barista life. The 2 mile commute is definitely a plus, I’ve lined up a bike to start making the commute. Plan to get it on Thursday, must say that I’m pretty excited all around.

I believe so, cannot be sure though. Lots of Pontiacs and Mopars at the show, made me real happy.

That’s awesome. I saw the neutered E-body Chally (72-74 refresh) and I was happy. Not as good as a ‘70 or ‘71 but still sweet.

You gotta look at all the little details, it was a hell of a vehicle.

The posted photos are the ones I thought came out best when playing with settings, took around 100-110 total I think. The blue Chally was lovely, very eye catching shade in person.

Second one I've seen with this setup. What is the purpose/throwback? Racing thing?

It’s Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt . It’s was Ford’s factory drag car and for weight savings they removed the highbeams and in their place added mesh-covered air intakes that feed directly into the air cleaner.
So yeah, it’s literally because racecar.

I love it. I didn't know it was specifically for Fairlanes. The first time I saw the setup was on a Falcon that the owner said was a psuedo throwback.

Yeah, the Thunderbolts seem to suffer from “The Cobra Effect”, replicas outnumber originals by about 10 to 1.

I’m not so sure. I think it could use some repair work on that fender. It looks like the door hinges could fall off at any time.

The details on the whole truck were great. The sewn on fenders were a nice touch.
